Today marks a momentous anniversary

03/12/2021

When asked to reflect on today's historic anniversary our volunteer Moira and our client Sue shared these words:

Moira:

Today we pause and remember the one year anniversary of the Pandemic lockdown and, more significantly, the loss of more than 500,000 people from our country. It is with gratitude to Neighbor Brigade, a keen sense of privilege and a somber acknowledgement of this historic moment that makes me deeply grateful for the opportunity to assist a neighbor in getting the Covid vaccine. In so doing, we become part of the world’s community effort to achieve herd immunity. Indeed, it is a global effort, the likes of which most of us have never seen. I am profoundly aware that each and every vaccine received and given brings us closer to the moment when we can embrace each other again. This, in itself, should give us all reason to pause as we approach a new and changed tomorrow."

Sue:

We are thrilled to not only be able to support our clients by driving them to their vaccinations but we are also helping them with the challenging online registration process.
